Tracking Your Progress... | Date:

The Trackers are a set of psychological tools that measure a player’s confidence and stress level using a combination of automatic reflex tests and self report questions.
The Focus Tracker, for instance, flashes two images, side by side – one smiling the other frowning, of the same person. Then, the game prompts you to push the up or down arrow depending on which arrow appears behind which face. In a split second, your attention in involuntarily drawn to one face or the other, based on your own “attentional bias”. If you’re a split second faster to respond to an arrow behind a frowning face, the system can record this, and this gives one measure of your internal state of mind.
The Self Report Tracker, on the other hand, uses a standard library of self report questions. The more honest you can be with these questions, the better the feedback within the game.
The Outlook score is a mathematical combination of the results from all the Trackers, and can be used to track your generalized confidence and stress levels day to day.
